Richard E. Franklin Jr. has spent his life fighting for the people of Birmingham. As a longtime resident of District 9, he has seen firsthand the struggles our communities face—from public safety concerns to economic inequality.With a background in education, community leadership, and policy development, Richard has worked alongside grassroots organizations, local businesses, and city leaders to push for real, lasting change.Why am I  Running? "For too long, our communities have been overlooked. We need leadership that listens, leadership that takes action, and leadership that delivers results.
